Site Changes - 26 September 2008

Due to overwhelming demand and user feedback we are pleased to announce that from 26th September 2008 Swellmap’s seven day forecasts will become freely available for all forecast locations.

We thank you for your support and hope that the removal of the login will speed up your access to the forecasts and will help you get even more time on or in the water.

Your log-in will still remain effective as email alerts are a premium service and will still require user’s to pay the subscription fee.

If you have already paid your subscription and do not wish to continue with the premium service on this basis, Swellmap will be pleased to provide a full or partial refund as outlined below. Alternately, if instructed, Swellmap will donate the equivalent sum to the Coastguard NZ on behalf of our subscribers.

Refunds will be allocated as a percentage based on how long your subscription has left to run. For example, 300 days left from a yearly subscription (365 days) would equate to an 82% refund.

Subscriptions with less than 90 days remaining will NOT be entitled a refund.

a) To donate the refund amount to Coastguard NZ please reply to this email with your name and order number.

b) To receive a refund please send by post a letter with your name, order number, email address and a bank deposit slip to:

Refunds of subscriptions or donations to the Coastguard will be available for any subscriber on this basis whose request is received by the 30th of November 2008.

HAVING TROUBLE LOGGING IN?

If you are experiencing trouble logging onto Swellmap, please refer to the suggestions below:

  1. A common login problem is caused by cookies stored in your temporary internet files. To correct this problem simply delete your cookies before attempting to login. For information about deleting cookies click here.

  2. Try using the subscriber login page to access your account. The subscriber login page was specially setup for customers experiencing login problems, simply use the login box in the centre of the page (as opposed to the usual login box in the top-right), this should provide instant access to your account. NOTE: If you want to view/update your account details, please use the normal login box in the top-right corner of the page.)

  3. Check the time/date settings on your computer. If the date is too far forward the login system will lock you out, so try rolling the date back a day or two before attempting to login.
